Mission
I am excited to be the new CAID Region 5 Representative I was asked to take over by Carol Carrothers as she is extremely busy with her job in Washington State. She has been a terrific representative for a number of years and I can only hope to equal her work.I have been in education for quite a number of years. I was dual certified by Seattle Pacific University in both elementary and special education. After that, I received my first Master's Degree in Education from Antioch, Seattle. I focused on early literacy for deaf and hard of hearing utilizing commonly used trade books. Reading is my passion! I was excited to be a presenter at the CAID conference in Reno last June, in the area of reading, of course! I received my second Master's Degree from Idaho State University in Deaf Education. Since then, I have maintained my position in my current school district and have been privately contracting with a Birth to Three program at the Hearing Speech and Deafness
Center in Seattle.
It is my pleasure to be of assistance to anyone in my Region!
