Mission

My name is Denise Lengyel, and I am your newly elected council member representing the science and technology special interest group. For the last four years, I was the acting high school science teacher and the science and health specialist at the New Mexico School for the Deaf (NMSD) in Santa Fe, NM. Most recently I was hired to teach at the Rochester Institute of Technology at the National Technical Institute of Technology in the Laboratory Science Technology Program. During my tenure at NMSD, I have supported staff of all different grade levels and have provided several workshops to educators and interpreters on science signs, science content, concept map development, and material resources.
